SUPREME COURT. (B«(m kta Honour Mr Jastioe Xennedy). APPEAL CASE, v.- Harold Hugh Sykei and Rudolph P. L. Walker appealed against a' Magisterial decision given ' in. Chrlstehurch. in favour of the trustees of" the estate of the late Elizabeth Ann Bill and others. The ease involved the question, of interest -on tha purchase money from the sale of a property. The Magistrate had held that it was jthe intention of the parties that 6} per cent; interest should be paid,/ And that ''such an amount; was -reasonable. There was an agreement made that .the pale fron)~ January Ist, 1020, to January Ist, 182®, .should . b*r® per cent., and on-April. Ist, 1920,. the Perpetual Forests, Ltd., by whom the pro-, perty Was then owned,' Charged per cent* . Iki amount in dispute was £lO7 9s fld, »• presenting the difference between 6 per cent, and 6| per cent, in interest over a' certain period, and this was the'amount of the claim. - Mr N. L. Moore, of Dunedin. appeared for the appellants, and Mr J. D. Hutchison for the respondents. Decision was reserved.
