"SONNY BOY.®»

Dafrey Lee, the "Sonny Boy" of AX Jolson in "The Singing Fool," In his first starring picture for Warner Brothers, proves himself to be something ol a comedian,, for be dispenses with pathos and tears and sentimeht, and with his -. particularly fine company of artists handles his comedy scenes with a vast and successful assurance. The story of "Sonny Boy" is the story of a husband-and wife who are parted by; the Court. The father having secured" the custody of'the ■ child, the mother commands her sister to kidnap the child for her. Betty Bronson plays the sister, and, casting round for a discreet home to hide herself , and the child, she alights on the home of the lawyer (Edward Everett Horfon), and, discovered there by his forbidding family, masquerades aB his wife. Horton is the screen's complete master of light .comedy and very real drama, and he is seen at his best as the rather worldly and bored lawyer in this picture. Davey Lee gives, towards the end, a remarkable impersonation of Al Jplson In a "Mammy" moqd. There will be a complete _ programme of . interesting short subjects on the bill, musical and talking. The box plans Bre at The Bristol.Piano Company, where seats may be reserved.
