SHIPPING NOTES. The Maui Pomare . arrived at Lyttelton early yesterday morning after a stormy passage from Auckland. She has 4700 cases of. bananas for discbarge here, and will load case-wood and general cargo. The 'Maui Pomare is to sail at XI o'clock,this morning for -Wellington and Auckland. • The Holmdale is due this morning from Timaru, and is to sail this afternoon with cargo • for Wellington and Wanganui. The Mahana is now to sail td-day for Napier to continue loading. The motor-ship Coptic was an arrival at Lyttelton yesterday morning from Port Chalmers. She is to be dispatched to-morrow for Gishorne for further loading. The Cygnet was an arrival early yesterday morning from Kaikoura and Wellington. She sailed last night on the return trip. The Breeze is now due here to-morrow from the south, and loads on Monday for WolHngton, Picton, and Wanganui. The Katoa is due this morning from Timaru to load for Auckland direct. She is to sail on Monday. The Wingatui is now due here on Tuesday from Auckland and Wellington, and is to sail on Wednesday for Dunedin and Timaru. She is due at Auckland about July Btb. The Union Company reports that tne Waitemata was to clear San Francisco on Thursday and Los Angeles to-morrow tor Auckland. Wellington, and Australia. She is due at Auckland on June 24th. To complete her Homeward loading, the Shaw, Savill motor-ship Taranaki arrived at Wellington on Wednesday moraine from Napier. She is nchoduled to clear Wellington finally at daybreak to-day for Southampton and London, v'a the Panama Canal. The motor-ship Wnirjiank. which left Antofagasta, Chile, on May 16th. for Auckland and Australian ports, has a cargo of 7800 tons of nitrates, whieh is stated 'to be the hi egos t cargo of nitrates yet dispatched from the west coast of South America to New Zealand and Australia. The Welrbank is due at Auckland about June 9th. The Golden Cross, which discharged American cargo at New Zealand ports, has been loading »t Gisborne, and arrived at Auckland on Thursday morning to her loading. Her carco consists of scrap iron, empty petrol and oil drums, frozen meat, and general cargo. Sh« was to leave AuckW vesterdav for Levuka to load copra, and for Honolulu to load sugar, proceeding thence to San Francisco.
