AUCKLAND, May 30. A statement that as much liquor is sold after hours by sonro sly-grog shops nj Auckland as some hotels sold in tho daytime was made by a sub-inspector when prosecuting a Dalmatian named Mate Nysich fflr selling liquor without a lioense. The case was a sequel to a series of raids made by the police on such shops. The accused wa» fined £IOO.
