MR MAWSON IN DEFENCE OF DEPARTMENT. (feess association tileobam.) ' MASTERTON, May 30. ~ A conference to-day between the Director of Town Planning and other members of the Board and local body representatives resulted in an almost unanimous agreement that the Wairarapa region should comprise tho area from Palliser Bay on the south between the Tararuas and the sea, to, and including, the Pahiatua borough and county, and Akitio county on the north..
