MR COATES DECLINES TO COMMENT. [THE PBEBS Special Service] AUCKLAND, May 29. The Leader of the Opposition, the Ht. Hon. J. G. Coates, declined to comment this evening on the suggestion from Wellington that there should lie a Party truce during the coming session of Parliament, in order to allow the Prime. Minister, the Hon G. W. For bos, to attend the Imperial Conference without fear of his Gov ornmenc being defeated while he is ah-i-nt.
''l have not received from the Prime Minister any intimation that he desires a trure, and until I have received an official communication on such a subject, I am unable to make any comment," Mr Coates said. • ' *-'■"
