BUILDING TRADES DISPUTE.

A Conciliation Council sat here to consider a building trades' award for Marlborough, embracing all branches of the building trade, including plumlx!r«, electricians, painters, and other tradesmen, and the negotiations involved protracted discussions. The outcome of the- proceedings was that all point*) m dispute wore settled with tho exception of wages. An arrangement was arrived at for the narties to consider the matter further in private and it is understood that thero is every possibility of an agreement being reached without recourse to the intervention of the Arbitration Court. •n i e Commissioner Mr P.
