RIOTING IN RANGOON.

The casualties am estimated at 50 dead and over 700 injured. The Cameron Highlanders, who were, called out, came, into conflict with, the rioters and were immediately com? pelled to fire to disperse the mob. The troops are at present picketing the city with maehine-guna. Many bodies are said to have bee* thrown into the river. Terrible stories of atrocities to, women, and children are reported,, and in on» case. three Madrasi men were seised by a gang of' maddened Burmans and out to pieces. In other instances there were small riots in which the police fired. the city is at present desolawo. Mills, bazaars, and shops are- wmo and all traffic is at a standstill.
