Mr and Mrs Charles Sparks entertained about forty guests at their residence, "Wedmore," Drain road, Halswell, on Wednesday evening in honour of their daughter, Gladys, whose marriage to Mr Prescott King was celebrated during the afternoon. In the drawing-room, bright with autumntinted flowers, the wedding presents were displayed. Early in the evening the bridal pair left on their wedding tour.
