PARTY AT HALS WELL. Mr and Mrs Charles Sparks entertained about forty guests at their residence, "Wedmore," Drain road, Halswell, on Wednesday evening in honour of their daughter, Gladys, whose marriage to Mr Prescott King was celebrated during the afternoon. In the drawing-room, bright with autumntinted flowers, the wedding presents were displayed. Early in the evening the bridal pair left on their wedding tour. Among those who enjoyed Mr and Mrs Sparks's hospitality were Mr and Mrs J. Woods, Mr and Mrs Torrence, Mr and Mrs A. Sparks,. Mr and Mrs R. J. Ware. Mrs H. Mehrtens, Mr and Mrs J.
