FUght*Lieu|euant Buckley landed there soon after noon in! order to inspect the auxiliary petrol tanks of his machine* which he suspected were not functioning properly. He' found that'little was the matter, how-' ever, and continued on his trip, reaching Christchurch at 4.35 pjn. As soon as the weather clears Mr. Buckley will leave for the Hanlototo Plains, Central Ofcago, where he will carry out an Aerial photographic survey. He will make h£s base Banfurly, and will spend at least four good "photographic" days on the tfork. Special accommodation has been inside in the Fairey UIF aeroplane - for' a photographer and his ' apparatus, and the wide flying range of the machine will facilitate operations.
