McNALLY—DUNCAN. On "Wednesday evening, in St. Mary's Church, Addington, a wedding which created considerable interest was solemnised between Isobel Annie, eldest daughter of Mrs L. Duncan, of Manchester street, Christchurch, and Bclwyn Howard, youngest son of the late Mr J, McNally and Mrs McNally, of Prebbleton. The ceremony was performed by the Bev. Hubert Jones, vicar °f Prebbleton. Miss A. G. Jones was the organist, and Mr T. Rodgcrs, of Christchurch, gave away his granddaughter. # The bride wore a model gown of ivory georgette, made with a plain bodice and long tight sleeves of silver lace, finished at the wrists with handkerchief cuffs of georgette. Tho full flared skirt falling lower at the back had n doep flounce of silver lace, and ner embroidered tulle veil, arrangod in a close-fitting cap style, fell from a circlet of orange "bossom buds. She carried a bouquet of palest pink and cream flowers, tied with long streamers. There were three attendant bridesmaids, tho Misses Lilian and Iris Duncan, the bride's sisters, and Miss Annie McGavack, of Duncdin. The first two wore frocks of georgette in shades of shell-pink and pale green respectively, the full flared skirts falling in pointed panels to the ankles from a deep hip yoke, while the pjain bodices were finished with deep capes of scalloped georgette. Miss McGavack wore a frock of powder-blue crepe do chine, tho skirt being composed of rows of tiny frills of silk not, which also formed the shoulder cape. AH three wore bandeaux of silver leaves, which held in place headdresses of tulle of the same shade as their frocks, and they carried pretty posies of pink'flowers tied with steamers to tone. Mr George T. McNally, of Kaiapoi, acted as his brother's best man, and Mr Andrew Duncan, the bride's brother, and Mr Jack Bearman were groomsmen. At a reception held la'ter in the Selwyn street Hall about sixty guests were present. Mrs Duncan received her guests wearing a handsome gown of fawn georgette, with sleeves and pointed skirt panels of fawn lace, and a hat of fawn felt, with upturned brim. She carried a bouquet of tawny-coloured flowers. Mrs McNally, the bridegroom's mother, wore a coat of black face cloth, with deep cuffs and collar of fur over a black crepe do chine frock, with pointed panels of black lace, and a black hat en suite. Her bouquet was of deep red roses. Mrs Peterson, great-grandmother of the "bride, was also present, wearing a handsome black frock, with hat to match. When Mr and Mrs S. H. McNally left later for their wedding tour the latter was wearing a smartly cut costume of blue and grey flecked tweed, a Hat of pastel blue felt, with pleated brim,- and a handsome fur necklet, the gift ,of the bridegroom. She also carried a.coat of Lido I>lue face cloth, with collar and cuffs of fur.

The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a graceful frock pf ivory ' satin, "with plain long-sleeved bodice and full skirt falling ankle length at the back, and shorter' in front. Her tullo veil, which was fastened to the head, with small sprays of orange blossom at the sides, formed a train, and she carried a bouquet of cream and pale pink roses. Miss Ivy Witte, who attended hoi sister, wore an- ankle-length frock of pale almond green georgette, with gold stitchery on the crossover bodice, and a" bow of'georgette falling below the iem. Her felt hat matched her frock, and she carried a bouqnet of pink roses. Mr Jack Pickle? acted as- best man; - At the wedding reception, held at the home'of the bride's'parents, the decorations were.- of chrysanthemums and autumn foliage* ' Mrs Witte wore a black marocain dress and a blaok felt hat, and carried a'bouquet of red roses. The bride travelled later in fawn and brown checked suit, nigger brown hat, ind fur necklet, and she carried a tweed coat trimmed with fur. BIDDICK—FLEMING. .On Tuesday, at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Ashbiirton,' by 'the Rev. A: D.' Kirkland, the marriage was solemnised of Edith Eveline, Second daughter of Mr and Mrs J. A. Fleming, Lismoro, to Ilaymond' John, third, son of Mr and Mrs 0. Biddick, Mayfield. . The. bride, who Was given away by her father, wore a' gown of parchment embossed georgette, with inset yoke of deep scalloped hem, falling long at the back, and a tulle veil and orange blossom., She carried' a bouquet of cream roses and maidenhair fern. ' Her bridesmaids were Miss Joan Potter. .(Christchurch), who wore a. pretty frock of cameo pink, georgette, ] and Miss Phyllis Cordery (Hawera), whose frock -of eau de nil georgette was trimmed with silver leaves. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Douglas Johnston, Mayfield, and Mr Eric Leadley, Elgin. A reception was afterwards held in St. Andrew's Hall. The bride's mother wore a frock of black georgette and ,laoe, a black silk coat, and black hat. She carried a bouquet of flowers in .autumn shades, which added a note of colour to her ensemble. The bridegroom's mother wore a frock of navy crepe de chine with hat to match. When Mr .and Mrs R. J. Biddick left, for their wedding trip the latter wan wearing a- navy blue ensemble, with smart felt hat to tone, and fox furs.
