NEW UNION STEAMERS.

WAIMARINO LEAVES HOME. The Union Company advise that tie Waimarino, the last "of their five new cargo steamers, left England on April 21st for Dunedin, Lyttelton, and Auckland, via Durban, and is due at Dunedin early in July. The Waimarino has a gross tonnage of 8030, and was launched early lost month by the Ardrossan Dockyard, Ltd., Ardrossan. She is a single screw steamer of 320 ft in length, by 46.7 ft in breadth moulded, by 25.5 ft in depth moulded to upper deck, and is of tho twodeck type, with poop, bridge, and forecastle. The machinery was supplied by John G. Kineaid and Co., Ltd., Greenock. The Waimarino is built on the same lines.as the Waipiata, and is destined for the Dunedin-Wellington-Auckland service. ...
