The barometer 'fell slightly in the .afternoon, but. in the evening was steady, the reading being 30.20. WellinpsVjn—Perfect weather prevailed yesterday, blue skies and bright sunshine. A breeze from the north blew throughout the day but' toward, evening it died away. Dunedin—The weather was dull and showery in Dunedin yesterday, but the ruinfall was not heavy. The wind was light from the south-west. > The- maximum ternyrature at midday was 48deg.
