KNOX CHURCH.
JUBILEE CANTATA. '! ' ■ As part of the Jubilee celebrations of Knox Chufch. a sacrqd cantata, "The Daughter of Jairna" (Stalner), was rendered by the choir' last evening.. Mr A. G. , Thompson, choirmaster, conducted, and Miss Victoria Butler presided -at the organ. The choir gave a well-balanced and artistic interpretation of Stalner's work. Among the choruses the "Waiting Chorus" and "Awake,. Thou that Sleepest," were especially pleasing to the large audience, while the solo, "My Hope is in the Ever-' lasting," i sung by Ur T. G. Rogers, was very much appreciated. Mr J. Filer, bass soloist, made a liberal contribution to the success of the choir's work. The duet, "Love Divine, All Love Excelling," was well gWen by Miss Evelyn Thompson and Mr Rogers. ■ .
