The Christchurch Homing Pigeon Society conducted their last young bird race of the season from Oamaru recently.' There wprfl 30 birds, representing gix owners liberated in fair weather with a north-east wind. : The winning bird, owned by Mr H. Burrows, flew the distance of 138 miles 'air-lipe in 4h.rs 48min.
