ROME, March 26. Uiero was a tense moment in the Uectra's crowded cabin when Signor Marconi pressed a telegraph key and awaited the voice from Sydney announcing that the lights were on at the Radio Exhibition in the Town Hall. Signor Marconi's face was wreathed in smilfeg. Hp said the success of the experiment was particularly important, as it pointed .to, the time when electric power would be transmitted direct through the uir in any direction and quantity desired.
SIGNOR MARCONI'S CONGRATULATIONS.
SYDNEY, March 27
The lights at the Radio Exhibition at the Sydney Town Hall were switched on by means of wireless by Signor Marconi from his yacht Electra in Genoa Harbour.
Signor Marconi spoke briefly, congratulating Australia on effecting tho first telephonic communication with Italy.

After the ceremony on the Electra, Sigrtor Marconi listened to wireless telephone experiments between Australia arid llugby, which Were audible to everyone aboard the vessel.
