Mrs Tait said that she and the committee were gratified at the progress made during the year. The work at St. Martins was now firmly established, and the nurse there and the nurse at 'Opawa were kept very busy. Fifteen new subscribers had been gained during the year. Mrs Tait appealed for more subscribers, pointing out that if the branch had on© hundred and sixty members its finances would be assured. The credit balance, thoiigh small, was considered satisfactory, as during the year the non-recurring expense of furnishing the room at St. Martins had been met. Mrs Tait thanked the committee for their loyalty, the nurses, who had worked so well, Mrs D. E. Hansen for the use of her house for meetings, and Mr R. Harman for auditing the accounts. The election of officers resulted as follows: —President, Mrs J. A. Tait (reelected); vice-president, Mrs D. E. Hansen (re-elected); hon. secretary, Mrs F.
