MUNICIPAL BY-ELECTION.
TO THE EDITOR OF THE PRESS Sir,—Mr H. T. Armstrong said he would address a meeting in the Sydenham Football Hall, but not in the Chamber of Commerce. Why? There seem two explanations, either or both of which may have affected his decision. He may have thought that the wbrking people of Sydenham have an inferiority complex, and that lie. would humour them,' or, 'he -may - have- an
inferiority complex himself, and shrink from expounding his views before what he may consider a critical audience. In either case it would be? an error. Most people who would attend at tho Chamber of Commerce are workers, some of whom havß better jobs and some have poorer jobs than the people of Sydenham. In any case lie should not shrink from standing up for his opinions before any audience.—Yours, etc..
W. ANDERSON. New Brighton, March 27th, 1930.
