CITY COUNCIL VACANCY.
OPENING OF CAMPAIGN. The campaign connected with the election to fill the vacancy on the City Council, caused by the death of Cr. P. W. Sharpe, will open to-night when both candidates will address the electors. Mr C. E. Jones, the Citizens' Association's candidate, will speak in the hall of the Chamber of Commerce. The meeting will be one of members of the Citizens' Association, but will be open to the public. - Mr H. T. Armstrong, M.P., the Labour candidate, will address the electors in the Sydenham Football Club's hall.,
