Miss Marjorie Sheridan (Sydney), who has been spending a holiday with her cousin, Mrs Cyril Ward, Merivale lane, is leaving this week on her return to Australia. Mr and Mrs N. W. Parker liav« left for their home in Westport after a prolonged visit to Cliristchurch. Mr and Mrs H. Link, Lyttelton street, and Mr and Mrs H. Wells, Harrington street, are leaving for Sydney en route for England. Mrs G. Whitelaw, who underwent a serious operation in Lewisham Hospital a month ago, is now sufficiently convalescent. Sho hopes to return to her home next week-end. Miss Sheat (Cliristchurch) and Miss Whiteside have been spending their annual holiday in Auckland, ltotorua, and Waitomo Caves. Mrs Ilutledge (Dunedin), who has been tho guest of Mrs Delargey, Cashmere Hills, has returned to the south. Mrs Robert Bishop (Southbridge) left for Wellington this week, en route to Wanganui, bn a holiday visit to relatives. Miss Shona McCormick (Christchurch) has been spending a short holiday with hor parents at Littlo Rakaia.

Mrs James S. Leitch, who has been on a year's visit to her daughter, Mrs Arthur Edward, leaves for New Plymouth next week. Miss It. Murtha (West Coast) is spending a holiday in Christchurch.

Mr and Mrs Edwin Hamilton (Papanui road) are loaving on Tuesday to attend the Rotary Conference at the Chateau Tongariro.

Mrs C. G. Curtis fltossall street) has returned from a visit to Melbourne, Sydney, and Hobart. Mrs G. D. Greenwood, has issued invitations for a book sale to be held at her home, "Camden," Cranmer square, on April 2nd, in aid of the Plunket Society.

A delightful party was given by Mrs W. E. Goodwin at her home at Prebbleton, where the guests were entertained at cards. First prizes were presented to Mr and Mrs YV. Goodwin. Air and Mrs H. Goodwin gained second places, and consolation prizes were presented to Mr and Mrs \V. Downey, Ben. Supper was dispensed by the hostess.

At the residence of Mrs J. McPhail, "Hartwood,'' Rokeby, an afternoon party was held in honour of Miss Grace Boag, who is shortly to be married. There was a very large attendance of the pupils of the Eokeby Sunday School, in which Miss Boag was formerly a scholar and is now a teacher, and their parents and friends. On behalf of those present, Mrs Tank presented Miss Boag with a handsome travelling rug, expressing appreciation of her work in the Sunday School, and wishing her happiness and success in the future. Miss Boag returned thanks, and aftornoon tea was dispensed by the ladies.
