UNITED CLUB
The United Amateur Swimming Olub held its annual picnic at Diamond Harbour. About seventy members and friends w° r ° present. The following were the results ol the sports:— . Boys, 13yrs and over: Norman Smith l, u. Cummings 2. Girls' Events—looyds Girls' Championship: Miss A. Devereux 1, Miss E. Clements 2. Girls, 13yrs and over: Miss Edna Yates 1, Miss Helen Yates 2. Girls, 12yrs and under. Miss R. Low 1, Hisß E. Muoro 2. Three-logged Race —Miss B. Low and fc. Munro 1. .... .... Women's Guessing Competition Mis Copplestone 1. AWARDS AT BOYS' HIGH SCHOOL. At tho Boys' High School yesterday .morning tho headmaster awarded * l2 swimming; certificates, issued by tfte e Zealand Amateur Swimming Association for distances between 50 yards and ft m . There were S3 learners' certificates (between 50 and 220 yards), 29 proficiency (ketwoen 220 and 380 yards), and 69 merit (between 860 yards and one mile).
