Messrs Mcintosh and Hall were appointed to watch developments and prepare any evidence that might be necessary. A complaint concerning the high cost involved in selling cattle at the Addington saleyards was made by Mr Hawke. who said that the total cost of trucking, yarding, and selling nine cows was approximately equal to the price of one cow. He claimed that the charge should be on the same basis as for other stock. ! After discussion if was resolved that the matter be brought before the Auctioneers' Association, with the suggestion thai dairy cattle and veplers should be sold on the same basis as for other stock.
