Replying briefly, Mr Leckio expressed his thank 3 for the many compliments he had received that night. Unfortiinately ho had hud to relinquish hiß position, under the pressure of private circumstances. Many excellent numbers were played by the orchestra during the evening, and an ertertaining vocal programme was contributed by soloists, who included the Misses Mavis Ritchie, W. Barratt, M. Taylor, and Lucy Fullwood, and Messrs J. L. Tennefit and W. J- Spratt. A number of patients of the Rannerdale Homo were gueata of .the orchestra.
