FIRST EXHIBITION OF AVIATION IN CANTERBURY. Mr J. W. H. Scotland flying in his Gaudron biplane at the first exhibition of aviation in Canterbury, which took place at the A. and P. Association's Show Grounds at Aldington in March, 1914. A few days previously this pilot had flown from Timaru to Christchurch. This was the longest flight to be made up to that time in New Zealand.
