BECKENHAM. At a meeting of the Beckenhara Be""* 1 Committee there were present: Messrs ■. ». Evison (chairman), H. C. Campbell, C. M. Kirby, J. W. Harris, F. H. Mintrom, W. H. Smith, A. W. Hurley (chairman), Messrs 0. Small, B. Bull, N. Sturrock, and W. Haden. The report of the headmaster stated that the school reopened with an attendance ef 572, with an approximate roll number ' of 604. Miss E. Wickes had completed her term as sub-assistant, and -Mis* N. Ward as probationary assistant, while Mr W. Mountfort qualified for entrance to the Training College. In place of those, Mr A. Haley had been appointed sub-assistant, and Miss M. Kirby and Miss J. In connexion with the scheme of Mr Sidney Williamson regarding training pupils in voice production, it was decided to circularise parents in the hope of forming a class.
