ANCIENT EGYPTIAN TOMB.
FURTHER DISCOVERIES MADE. (UHITBD PRESS BMCTRtC TWMSGRAPH—COPTBIOHT.) CAIRO, February 10. Excavations of the recently-discov-ered tomb of Ra Ourer, high priest of the goddess Nekheb, who flourished in the reign of Nefert-i-Rikara, third king of the fifth dynasty, in 2730 8.C., show that it consists of three large halls, 80 small chambers, and 30 places for the erection of statues to the dead. Fortyfive statues were recovered, mostly perfect. . . A man's dismembered hand was found inserted in the coffin with the mummy. A handless skeleton was lying nearby, and it is presumed to be that Of* robter killed by the subsidence of th« tomb's ceiling, while attempting to nfl« the mummy'* neeklae* at praeldtii stones.'
