VANCOUVER, January 4
At Wooster, Ohio, a score of students composing a basketball team were singing aboard a bus when the Pennsylvania train struck it at a crossing outside the village of Streve. Nine were killed and all the others aboard were injured.
Witnesses said that the driver saw the train, slowed down, but skidded on the icy pavement and stalled right across the tracks.
