PERKINS'S BRILLIANT RIDING.

So far 2£ \ocal perfornvances go, the most brilliant rider yet seen at the Monica Park Sneedwav is the Australian, Syd Perkins. At the meeting last week he succeeded in equalling tho track record established by W. In the Gold Sash match, which is competed for every fortnight, J. Carter trie holder, found F. Sharman too good for nim. Perabo struck an obstruction on the northern bend of the track, after which his machine gave him trouble and he dropped back, leaving Gray to race into second place, a considerable distance behind Perkins.
