Th«> New Brighton Municipal Band under Conductor J. Nuttall contributed a programme of popular airs, which helped to enliven the proceedings during the evening session. Apart from the crowds at the Carnival, the business portion of the Borough was busy with many hundreds of people doing their weekend shopping.
