TRIPLE TRAGEDY.
MOTHER AND TWO SONS FOUND DROWNED. tFBEBS ASSOCIATION TKLXORAM.) NEW PLYMOUTH, January 3. A triple drowning tragedy occurred at Oeo, South Taranaki, thin afternoon, the victims being Mrs I). Zimmerman, aged about 40, and lier two boy*, one aged three years and the other nix months. The bodies of the boys were found in a creek about a chain from Zimmerman's farmhouse, and Mrs Zimmerman's body was discovered floating in a small dam sixty chains away. Mr Zimmerman, who had been sharemilking for Charles Muggeridge, left the house about 10 a.m. with his brother for Muggeridge's other farm. On their return the house was seen to be empty and there was no sign of the mid-day meal having been prepared. The husband's fears were aroused, re membering previous statements by his wife. A search was immediately made and the bodies of the children were found cold in shallow water where there was evidence of a struggle for life. Pursuing their search the men found Mrs Zimmerman's body in a dam used for driving the milking plant.
