FULLER'S OPERA HOUSE.

Jim Gerald's new revue production, "Oh, Mum!" which is presented at Fuller's New Opera House this week, is sure to attract large audiences. It possesses all that a revue should possess both in the players and the staging, and although the company does not bother much about a story the various scenes are co-related to some extent. The mundane title, "Oh, Mum!" actually contains far much more than it infers. It is really a tribute to the work of the player in the title role—Gerald. In the tirst half he appears in several short acts, but the second portion finds him with the stage practically to himself—with some excellent support—and his "dame" work is a revelation to Fuller patrons. The musical numbers are varied, up to date, and excellently produced. Among them are: "Tueky Lane," by Letty Craydon and ballet; "Cherie," by Iris May; "Oh, Doris." by Tom Dale and ballet; concerted dance number by "The Twinklers,'' dance specialty by Joan Graham and Ron Shand; "Dream House," by Linda Foy and ballet; "My Pet," by Lily Coburn and ballet; "Paradise," by Essie Jennings; "The Garbage Gentlemen's Ball," by Essie Jennings and Jim Gerald, and "Nirvana," by Tom Dale. Particularly fine is a South Seas number in which the ballet, with specialty dancers, appears against an artistic setting of palms and rippling moonlit water. Of the male dances, Mr Shand puts his best foot forward in some clever eccentric steps. Assisting Jim Gerald greatly in his dame work is Miss Jennings, whose characterisation of the uncouth and embarrassing young daughter is most clever. In general terms the show is one of the best seen at the New Opera House for many months. In all departments there is strength, and it would appear that much strict training had gone into the making of the production. The frockiug is well varied, and the dance steps of the ballet change definitely with every number.
