AMNESTY TO ITALIAN PRISONERS. (UJfIT*D rR»S3 ASSOCIATION— BT ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH —COPYRIGHT.) (Received January 3rd, 11.40 p.m.) LONDON, January 3. The Milan correspondent of "The Times" states that in commemoration at Prince Umberto's wedding, the King of Italy has granted an amnesty, under which a year is being remitted from the sentences of civil, and two years from the sentences of military, prisoners. Relief will also be given in the case of pecuniary penalties. It is estimated that 400,000 persons will benefit, while 6000 convicts will ha liberated. Dangerous criminals and convicts likely to constitute a social danger have been excluded from the amnesty.—"The Times" Cables.
