The edge of the road gave way, and the car fell down an 80ft precipice, turning four complete somersaults. Hie car was driven bv Mr J. Williamson, of the publishing staff of the "Dominion " Wellington, who miraculously escaped without injury. The other members of the party, all of whom are residents of Wellington were not so fortunate. The injured members of the party were: — Mrs Williamson, fractured shoulder. Mrs Lockwood, fractured jaw. Mrs Coop, head injuries. The accident occurred at 5.50 o'clock this afternoon, and the injured women were eonveved to the Rotorua Hospital.
