Dunstanbragb. Castle, one of the most romantic of Northumberland's ruined castles, has become a national monument. Sir Arthur M. Sutherland, Bart, who Ixmght it and the vast estate in 1919 from the Eyres trustees, has given the entire estate to the nation. During the next wto years the ruins will be renovated under the supervision of the Government and preserved from falling into further decay. The castle stands on a height close to the sea, six miles north-east of Alnwick.
