PLAY CONCLUDED. TIMARU. December SO. The South Canterbury Bedims Centra's Christmas tournament was concluded, today when, in *r.te of the rain overnight, the peeat played well. In the final Manning and Kebby (s> -3 beat ISlnekham and Kewar if 1 (West Knd> 21. Up to the twentieth head the scores were twentv all. The Ashbury skip drew two shots and the West End skip failed to draw, and Kebbv eventually proved the winner. Tait and Gibson (s) (Timaru) 24 beat O'Hagan and Wilson (s) (Ashbury) 10 for third place in the first round of to day'a p J »y- 0 , .. . In the singles competition Sanders (Jva.tuna) 23 beat C. H. Manning (Ashbury) 11, Morgan (Edfteware) forfeited to Freeman (United), O'Hagan (Ashbury) IS beat Ingram (Timaru) 15. Watson (United) 18 beat L. De-war (West End) 10. Memiea (Ashbury) IS beat Robertson (Fitiroy) 13. In the second round O'Hagan 20 beat Sanders 15, Menzies 13 beat Freeman 10. Watson a bye.

In the fourth round O'Hagan 25 beat Wat son 21.
In the final O'Hagan (Ashbury) 19 beat Menzies (Ashbury) 13.
The play was fairly even throughout, but O'Hagan outplayed his opponent in the final stages of the game. In presenting the prUrs the president of the Centre (Mr W. J. Watson) congratulated the winners and the runners-up. On behalf of the visitors Mr H. E. B. Watson, of the United Club, thanked the president and the members of the Centre for their splendid hospitality, and complimented the several club' on their excellent greens.
LINWOOD TOURNAMENT. The following match was omitted from yesterday's notice of the New Year tournament, to be held on the I/inwood Bowling Club's green to-morrow: —Knox (Sydenham) v. Angas (St. Albans).
