Prices for all birds ready for killing were very high, particularly for table chiok*n, which creat-ed a record foT the Christem market, as they so!d up to ISs per pair. The best price previously was from 13« to 14s. The following prices were realised per pair: —Table chickens, "light 3s to Ts, heavy 9s to ISs; hens, light 2s 6d to 4s, heavy 5s to 8s; geese, Ts to Ss; gosling's, 9s to 15s; ducks, old 3s to 6s; ducklings, 6s to 12s; turkeys, hens 15a to 225, gobblers 50s to 55a. __fi
