SONS OF TEMPERANCE.

NATIONAL DIVISION. The thirty-first annual meeting of the National Division, Sons of Temperance, Ms held in the Temperance Hall Gloucester street, yesterday, Bro. C. 'P. Hendall, M.W. Patriarch (Wanganui), presiding. The report and balance-sheet showed a slight increase in membership. The yearlv sickness totalled £6O. 16s 3d and funeral payments £lO5. The amount standing to the credit of the sick and funeral fund is £25,556 7s 4d, and the total funds of the Order stand at £28,182 12s 3d, an increase for the year of £1399 9s 6d. Bros. Martin, Uassail, and Bascami, of the Rechabite Order, and Bro. A. Reiinie, of the International Order of Good Templars, attended, and conveyed fraternal greetings, which were heartily reciprocated by Bro. K. Billcliff, on behalf of the Sons of Temperance. M Bro. H. Harrison, P.M.W. Patn-* arch, was presented with the Society's jewel in recognition of past services. The Elim Division proved the winners of the membership shield, with an increase of 9.8 per cent.
