SCHOOL PRIZES.

SPOTSWOOD. There was a vary large attendance of scholars, parents, and friends at the annual prizegiving in connexion with the Spotswood school, the function, which took the form of a fancy dress party, being held in the Spotswood Hall. During the evening a Highland Fling was danced by Misses I. Upston and K. Harrison, and three playettes were presented by the scholars, "The Silver Whistle," "Uncle Podger Hangs a Picture, and "Laying a Ghost." The school prizes were presented to the winners by Mrs N. !»•• Wilkinson, wife of the chairman of the School Committee-, and the prizes for the winners of the fancy dresses were presented by Mrs S.
