SHEEP EXPORT.

PATAGONIAN SHIPMENT. Cabled advice has been received by Messrs Dalgety and Co. stating that the consignment of 200 stud Corriedale and Eomuey sheep shipped to Patagonia recently had reached their destination. The trip was a very rough one, but the sheep stood it remarkably well, only one death being recorded. The purchasers, according to the cable, are very pleased with the sheep. A northern message states that the Waitomo County Council has granted the Challenge Phosphate Co. an option until January 31st over a reserve at Waitete, near Te Kuiti, in which there are large lime deposits. Mr W. Goodfellow, chairman of directors of the company, informed the council that it had been realised that cheap lime for farmers would be a boon in Auckland province, especially in the Waikato. The company would endeavour to produce lime for sale at about 15s a ton, and would install plant capable of an output of 10,000 tons a year. Mr Goodfellow said the company did not expect to make a profit out of the lime. He considered that the introduction of eheap lime would help to arrest many stock diseases. The prize schedule for next year's Royal Easter Sydney Show has beeu issued. A very liberal classification has been provided in all sections, and the prize money (exclusive of a number of valuable silver cups) exceeds £14,000.
