An anti-cyclone has" passed to the eastward t/New Zealand, and a series of depressions is jjvincing across the southern Tasraan Sea. Present indications are for north to northwest winds, moderate to strong, reaching gale Jsree at times in Cook and Foveatix Straits; seas smooth to moderate generally at first, bat rising on the West Coast and in Cook tad Poveaux Straits; moderate to strong north «• north-west winds and moderate to rather roneh seas in the eastern Tasman; the weather cloudy tut mainly fine in the eastern districts. Elsewhere nnsettled with rain developing; temperatures mild to warm.
