LIBERTY THEATRE. "AH Life is Illusion." Around this succinct philosophy this week'*, picture at the Liberty Theatre ii wottn, and Richard Dix, erstwhile star of the "young America" type of picture, is given the difficult task of demonstrating it. However iliusionary existence may be, Esther Ralston's particular type of beauty is real enouga. and when a white man and a white woman look at each other in the dusk of a Tibetan monastery, and when they have but a short time to live— Hollywood can only present the inevitable conclusion. "The Wheel of Life" ia reminiscent of "The Black Watch," and although it might not be quite such a good picture, it is a distinct improvement on the effervescence of a certain other type of production. Shorts this week include a sound film of the M.C.C. versus New South Wales match, a musical number, "Schubert's Inspiration," and a variety of American comedy item*. Particularly noteworthy is a D.F.A- production, "Rustic Romance," the photography of this Nature study being- remarkable.
