FAREWELL VISIT TO OAMARU. (fßisi xssocuno* tinoaiM.) OAMABU, December 17. Their Excellencies, the Governor-Gen-eral and the Lady Alice Fergusson were farewelled to-day in the Public Gardens, when his Excellency took as the theme of his address, service to God. King, and Country. He planted a memorial tree presented by Mr J. W. Davies, a serving brother of the Order of Saint John. The Governor-General was entertained at an official dinner tonight. To-morrow morning he inspects schools an<* colleges and then proceeds to Timaru.
