PERSONAL. (SPECIAL TO THB PRESS.) GREYMOUTH, December 17. Mr and Mrs A. Temple will leave on Thursday en route for Sydney. Mr A. Perry, of Hokitika, left this morning for Christchurch. Captain E. D. lies, of Auckland, has been appointed to succeed Captain Ross as wharfinger for the Union Steam Ship Co., Ltd., at Greymouth. Inspector Fitzpatrick left to-day for Christchurch. Mr J. McNair, District Railway Engineer, arrived to-day from Christchurch. Mr R. Wild left Hokitika for Christchurch to-day. Mrs A. B. Larsen and Miss V. Larsen left to-day for Auckland. The Town Clerk (Mr F. H. Denton) has received advice from the Minister for Internal Affairs that Lord and Lady Craigavon will pass through Greymouth on January 4th, en route to Hokitika, returning to Greymouth on January Bth and leaving for Christchurch on January 9th. Wedding. The wedding was celebrated at Holy Trinity Church this morning of Jas. Carl, second son of Mr and Mrs J. Nyberg, of Mai Mai, to Neil, youngest daughtei of Mr and Mrs H. E. Williams, of Nelson Creek. The Rev. G. Barker, of Ahaura, officiated. The bride wore a frock of delphinium blue and long bodice of radium lace, being inset with deep scallops of georgette of the same shade, of which the full flared skirt was also composed, and a smart hat of fawn straw. Mrs Nancy Ord attended as matron of honour, being dressed in old rose satin celanese, with a model hat of black tagel. As the bridal party left the church Miss Coburn played "The Wedding March." The guests were entertained by the bride's parents. Mrs Williams received the guests in a handsome frock of black satin celanese, relieved with pale rose, and a smart hat of bankok straw. Mr and Mrs Nyberg later left for the North Island. Technical School. The Greymouth Technical School's breaking-up ceremony was held to-day. Mr T. E. Coates presided and presented the prizes as follows:—Dux medal (presented by Principal), Roger Williamson; highest aggregate in general science, Alban Kibble; highest marks chemistry and mathematics, Jack Chalmers; best pupil Form V., history, and English, Roger Willirmson; highost marks in French, James Hector; highest aggregate arithmetic, mathematics, history, and geography, Form 111., Jean Cooper; general excellence, English, history, and geography, C.l. Maud Price: best commercial student, Mabel Stewart; best first year commercial student, Dorothy Greenhill; best engineering student, Henry Baty; best electrical student, Ernest Greening; arithmetic and mathematics. Dan Calwell; dressmaking, Marjorie East; dressmaking, C.2, Dorothy Morgan; hygiene, Clarice Armstrong; tribal competition for athletic and swimming sports competitions during year, Takitimu Girls' Tribe and Takitimu Bovs' Tribe; most progress in woodwork and trades course, Stanley Palmer.
