CHILD FOUND DROWNED.

VERDICT AT INQUEST. At the inqueßt into the death of the sixteen-months-old child, William Waterton Gibson, who was found drowned in a creek at the residence of his parents, Mr and Mrs William Gibson, 15 Hoon Hay road, the Coroner, Mr E. C. Levvey, returned a verdict of accidental death by drowning, there being no evidence as to how the child got into the water. The evidence disclosed that the child was drowned in the creek during a short absence of the mother. Dr. Brown, of the Mental Hospital, who was called in on the discovery of the tragedy, tried artificial respiration for threequarters of an hour.
