Twelve persons perished in a fire at Tiroualaputhur, South India. During marriage celebrations at a Moslem's house a petrol lamp exploded and burning oil set fire to the guests' clothing. Eleven persons, including the bride, are in a precarious condition. —Australian Press Association.
