Lovers of vaudeville cannot fail to appreciate the bright entertainment provided by Nat Phillips's "Whirligigs" Bevne Company, which made its first appearance in Chrißtchurcli at the New Opera Eouse on Monday night Featuring Hector St. Clair, the ever-popular comedian, and fresh from successful season* in Australia, this company compares very favourably with any that has visited New Zealand recently. From opening chorus to finale there is not a dull moment. the comedy part.cularly being strong. The frocking and lighting effects, as is always the case with fuller productions, are also good. From the introduVtion of the "Whirligigs," Nat Phillips, Les Warton, Cecil Scott, Bessie Blake, Kitty Stewart, Sylvia Gardner. Stella Lamond, and Al Mack proceed to delight the audience with a gambling sketch, '"Monte Carlo."
