Southerly Gale. A Btrong southerly gale prevailed at Lyttelton from early yesterday morning. In the morning considerable rain fell, but in the lfternoon . the rain ceased, although the :onditions continued cold and stormy. Personal. The Mayor (Mr W. T. Foster) and the town :lerk (Mr F. Hobbs) are expected to leave 'or Wellington to-night in connexion with a :ocal Bill known as the Lyttelton Borough Council Empowering Bill, dealing with the leasing of certain Council reserves which Mr J. McCombs, M.P., will present this -week. Harbour Ugh* Theatre. "If I Were Single," 6 comedy romance starring Conrad Nagel and May McAvoy, will be repeated at the Harbour Light rheatre to-night, together with "The Demon Rider," featuring Ken Mayn«rd, a comedy, ind a gazette. To-morrow, "The Cohens and Kellys," an uproarious comedy-feature starring George Sidney, Charles Murray, end Kate Price will be screened.
