(PEEBS ASS6CIATIOK riLIOBiM.) PAHIATUA, September 3. At the inquest on James Robert Symmons, aged 48, who was gatekeeper at the Manawatu Gorge bridge, the Coroner (Mr J. D. Wilson) found that deceased died from injuries caused through being ran into by a car driven by Charles Robertson; that, in his opinion, Robertson did not take sufficient care to avoid such an accident; further, that the stop notice was disregarded, and that the length of the skid on the bridge and the fact that it oommej'Kied before reaching the bridge indicated excessive speed-
