SUPPRESSION OF NAMES.
(PBF3S ASSOCIATION rELBOBAM.) NEW PLYMOUTH, September 3. "This sort of thing is becoming overdone," said Mr Tate, S.M., this morning, in refusing an application for the suppression of the names of two young men, Leonard Edward Smith and Raymond Jack Vernon Elliott, who were remanded in custody on a charge of breaking and entering a coal merchant's premises on August 17th and with attempting to steal a safe and its eontents valued at £ 100.
Detective Meiklejohn indicated that the police would not oppose bail when a further remand was asked for until next Friday.
