One of the best programmes seen in Christchurch for a long time is now being shown at Crystal Paluce. the two attrac Hons beini; ''The Silent House, 1 ' featur ing Mabel Poulton, Arthur Pu-ey, and Oibb McLaughlin, and "Captain hash," with Victor McLaglen in the lead. The former is a Bri'ish production, and goes to prove that the En^lis l ' tudio- are making grc.r strides. ' The Silent Ho'ise' was h big sue-ess as a legitimate play, and in the tilm version the producers have even more scop 1 to demonstrate the mystery and eeriness of this Oriental story. Victor McLaglen ia at his boat in "Captain Lash."
